The house painters you choose should be fully licensed, like Bay Country Painters. You should go to the company’s website or give them a call and ask for their license number. For example, you can get our license number on our website. It is listed at the bottom along the footer. We are licensed by the Maryland Home Improvement Commission, license number 39306.

Do they know their stuff?

Speak to potential house painters directly. Ask for an estimate, and make sure you get it in writing. You should ask them all of the questions that you have about their process. For example, how do they usually start the job? Do they handle all of the prep work? Will they supply all of the paint and other materials, or will you be expected to buy the paint separately? Make sure they fully understand your expectations and the time frame you would like everything completed by.

Paint the Town ____! Improve Your Local Business with a Spring Makeover

Posted by & filed under Commercial Painting, Tips.

Every day all over Baltimore and Maryland, businesses are growing, changing and producing. People are showing up to their office or commercial building, selling products and services and welcoming new customers.

With all this activity going on, it might be easy to overlook the aesthetic nature of your operation. You may have been sitting in the same office for many years. Take a look around. Have the walls become dingy? Has the paint started peeling away? Are your walls littered with holes from tacks, staples and nails? It is important to make sure your facility is in the best possible condition and looking top-notch so that you can project the best possible image. A well-maintained and bright office helps to encourage productivity from employees and sales from potential clients. And, one of the best ways to accomplish this goal is with commercial painting. Severna Park and the entire Baltimore area has been trusting Bay Country Painters for over 34 years with all of their business’ painting needs.

Our commercial painters will ensure your Baltimore, Annapolis, or otherwise located business’ building will be the place where visitors and employees feel comfortable and safe visiting, as our job is to create an environment that encourages economic growth. Here are a few tips to consider before your next commercial painting project:

Color Scheme

Consider choosing a more exciting, bright and energizing color scheme. Perhaps choose a color scheme based off of your logo. It could single-handedly change the overall vibe and flow of business. One color, two colors, three colors or four, Bay Country Painters will gladly be your provider of paint and implementer of image on the walls of your commercial property.

Patch Things Up

When it comes to commercial painting and carrying out the work itself, we handle any and all tasks as it relates to the project. If there are holes in your walls (small or large) we will patch them up and sand them. This gives your walls and office a fresh, new look. Holes and such show age and when you eliminate these signs of ageing, it gives your environment a sleek, fresh and even youthful appearance. If paint chunks exist on walls, we will scrape them away and sand.

All you need to do for your commercial painting project is choose the colors and instruct us on the particular logistics as it applies to the job—what happens to the office furniture etc—so that it can be carried out to meet the needs of your business.

In the end, a professional commercial painting job calls for tried and true experienced painters to ensure that no details are missed, no corners are cut, and that you can continue to carry out business as much as possible while the office is being painted.

Q: Why should I hire a professional house painting company? Isn’t it easier to paint my house myself?

A: Of course for smaller jobs, it can seem easier to tackle your home painting project on your own. But, even with these smaller projects, they can lead to bigger ones and you could find you’ve taken on more than you can handle. Not only do you need to set aside time to actually do the work, but you will probably have to go out and buy supplies like brushes, rollers, trays, drop cloths and more, not to mention the actual paint and primer. And, if a mistake occurs, like if you get paint where it wasn’t supposed to go, it could lead to a much larger, more expensive endeavor than expected.

But, when you hire a professional house painting team like the one at Bay Country painters, you don’t have to worry about any of that! We can handle every aspect of your painting project from start to finish.

Q: What are the typical preparations a professional house painting company should provide?

A: Not all painting companies offer the necessary prep work. But, with a professional house painting company like Bay Country Painters, you can expect extensive preparation. When we come to your home to begin an exterior house painting project, we will begin by laying down some drop cloths to ensure we do not accidentally get paint on any of your flowers and plants. We then scrape your home’s siding if need be, and we will apply a coat or two of primer before we begin to paint.

For an interior house painting project, we will first clean and patch the walls if needed. Then, we will apply a coat of primer. From there we will paint the walls and use as many coats as needed to ensure everything looks uniform and professional.

Q: Do you offer free estimates?

A: Not all professional house painting companies offer free estimates. But, at Bay Country Painters, we do! Just give us a call to talk about what kind of services you need and we can give you a free estimate.

We pride ourselves in being the trusted professional house painting experts in the Baltimore and Annapolis area and take great care to pay attention to even the smallest details on each painting job. Paint-It-Forward 2016-17: Winner Announced!

Posted by & filed under Bay Country Painters, News and Events, Paint-it-Forward.

Bay Country Painters is proud to announce Robin Talbot of Annapolis as the winner of our 2016-17 Paint-it-Forward charity event.

paint-it-forward

About Robin Talbot
She is a single mother of two growing boys who lost her husband to a courageous battle with cancer a number of years ago, when her sons were at the young ages of just two and six years old. At that time, Robin decided to change careers so she could spend more time with her sons. Making this brave decision also left her with less money to spend on things like home projects.

Then, in September 2016, her eldest son, then a senior in high school, was diagnosed with Leukemia. With the time needed to take care of him and to spend quality time with both him and his brother, it left Robin with little time to get her home the paint job it really needed.

We are very excited and pleased to award Robin and her sons with a $4,500 interior paint job!

About Paint-it-Forward
Thank you to everyone who submitted an entry into our Paint-It-Forward contest, it was a very difficult decision this year! This annual contest is held by trusted names in painting all across the nation. Started 10 years ago by A. Allbright Painting in Los Angeles, CA, it accepts nominations of deserving individuals, families and organizations who need a paint job but lack the funds to get it done.

In 2015, Mike McGurk, the owner of Bay Country Painters and his staff of skilled, friendly craftsman were delighted to join this fantastic movement and bring it to Maryland! This year, Bay Country Painters accepted many nominees from all over the area. Once nominations were closed, we then sat down and began the very difficult task of deciding who needed our services the most. In the end, we knew Robin Talbot and her two sons were the ones we needed to help. It is a pleasure and an honor to give back to the community in this way and we look forward to many more years of ‘painting it forward.’

If you would like to keep up to date with the project, like us on Facebook, or you can follow progress on this page, or you can keep checking our blog for updates.
